Coinbase Wallet Adds Support for Ledger Hardware Wallets

The developers of the cryptocurrency wallet Coinbase Wallet announced a collaboration with Ledger, which will also release a special branded version of the Ledger Nano X.

Coinbase Wallet is available as an extension for Google Chrome based browsers. This is a non-custodial wallet that supports work not only with cryptocurrencies, but also with collection tokens. Thanks to support With Ledger hardware wallets, users will be able to store the keys to their wallets on a separate device that is disconnected from the Internet.

“We want to push everyone to use decentralized applications and Web3, and this requires a simple and affordable solution for storing assets. The current update adds support for hardware wallets for security,” Coinbase Wallet developers noted.

Also, within the framework of cooperation with Ledger, it is planned to release a limited edition of the Ledger Nano X device with the Coinbase brand.

Recall that this year a new Mars Stealer virus appeared, which attacks browser-based cryptocurrency wallets. The virus targets browsers based on the open source Chromium: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Vivaldi and others.
