The Coinbase Chrome browser extension makes it easy to access decentralized finance. Extension users are required to confirm transactions on their phone as a security measure.
The Coinbase Wallet developers have decided to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized finance through a new browser extension that allows you to connect to popular decentralized finance (DeFi) applications including Uniswap, Aave, and SushiSwap.
The extension removes the need to scan QR codes every time a user wants to open a decentralized app, as it automatically saves account data. Users will be able to conduct transactions from a browser on a computer, but they will have to confirm them in an application on a smartphone.
The company says it will continue to engage with the DeFi industry to make the industry more accessible:
“We want millions of customers to be able to participate in the decentralized application industry. To that end, we will continue to take steps to improve ease of use and accessibility through new developments and offerings such as the Coinbase Wallet extension. ”
Recall that last month, Coinbase’s capitalization was $ 85.7 billion at the end of the first day of trading on the Nasdaq. The exchange recently added the ability for US customers to buy cryptocurrency using debit cards and bank accounts linked to PayPal. In addition, the company said it will buy out Skew, a cryptocurrency analytics platform.
