CoinFlip has added the ability to buy Dogecoin cryptocurrency from its 1,800 ATMs located in 46 US states.
The Dogecoin cryptocurrency, which was created as a joke, has received a lot of attention lately, especially after several mentions of it by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
According to CoinFlip management, this move by the company “confirms the legitimacy of the coin and further demonstrates CoinFlip’s commitment to meet the needs of consumers and the industry.”
CoinFlip CEO and Co-Founder Daniel Polotsky emphasized that now US citizens will be able to get an easier way to buy Dogecoin. He said:
“Given the growing popularity and recent massive attention to the coin, we are committed to making Dogecoin a part of our cryptocurrency portfolio and supporting this cryptocurrency in the future.”
After the strong growth of the Dogecoin rate, the development team returned to supporting the cryptocurrency and started working on the source code of the coin again. At the same time, Dogecoin founder Billy Markus said that he sold all his DOGE holdings back in 2015.
