CoinMarketCap and Uniswap Launch ERC-20 Token Swaps

CoinMarketCap has launched a swap function for ERC-20 tokens as part of a partnership with Uniswap decentralized exchange. In the future, the service plans to cooperate with other DEXs.

The developers of the CoinMarketCap service have added a new function to the site – swaps of ERC-20 tokens. The new functionality allows instant and low-cost swaps on the Ethereum network based on CoinMarketCap and Uniswap. The platform supports wallets from MetaMask, Coinbase, Fortmatic, Portis and WalletConnect.

According to CoinMarketCap, the service plans additional integrations with other DEXs and networks in the future, but currently only Ethereum is supported, and Uniswap V1 and V2 will be “the first supported DEXs for token exchange.”

CoinMarketCap was founded in 2013 and has become one of the most popular cryptocurrency market data sites. Last year, the CoinMarketCap service was sold to the Binance exchange. Then the cryptocurrency community took the message as an April Fool’s joke, but later it turned out to be true. The deal amounted to about $ 400 million. Six months after the deal, CoinMarketCap’s management resigned in full.

Last fall, the CoinMarketCap service introduced a new section on its website called Alexandria, which contains various information for learning how to work with cryptocurrencies.
