Cold air drops temperatures in the capital of São Paulo to below average

The capital of São Paulo dawned this Thursday (3) with thermometers marking 12ºC and overcast skies. There were also drizzles in isolated points of the city.

According to the Center for Climate Emergency Management of the City of São Paulo (CGE), the day continues with cold and low temperatures. The predicted maximum is 15°C.

The minimum percentages of air humidity remain above 70%. Rainfall should continue in the form of drizzle, especially at the end of the day.

The cold air, according to the institute, is atypical for this time of year and is being caused by the passage of a cold front followed by a strong mass of air of polar origin.

Next days

Temperatures below normal should remain at least until this Friday (4). The temperature can reach 10°C, a temperature that has not been recorded for the month of November since 2011. The maximum is 17°C.

Light rains occur between dawn and dawn. Afterwards, the sun appears between clouds throughout the day.

According to meteorologists, the cold front reaches the South, Southeast and North regions of the country. Frosts are forecast for Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná.
