The week begins with a warning of storms for the southern region of the country, with a cold front that will reach the Southeast from Wednesday (23) and will also bring heavy rain.
In an interview with CNN Radio Climatempo meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki said that the forecast is that this cold front will advance through the Ocean and reach the Southeast causing heavy rain.
“The entire Southeast region, including São Paulo and the capital, will have storms between Wednesday and Thursday of this week”, he said.
In the south, Rio Grande do Sul, western Santa Catarina and western Paraná will be affected between this Monday and Tuesday.
The Midwest, on the other hand, “has alerts for rain with the potential for thunderstorms, especially in the south of the state of Mato Grosso” this week.
In Bahia, the rains should continue from Wednesday, in the south and interior of the state. “From Wednesday the volumes get bigger, with up to 70 millimeters between Wednesday and Thursday.”
The south of Piauí, Tocantins and Maranhão also have alert for spaced rains.
According to Maria Clara Sassaki, still under the influence of the La Niña phenomenon, the Southeast, Midwest and North should have heavy rains “until at least March.”
