Cold front forms in southern Brazil this Monday (15)

The areas of instability remain active between the North and Northeast of Brazil this Monday (15), with heavy rain forecast. In addition, a new cold front forms at the height of the southern coast of Brazil and increases the conditions for heavy rain in Rio Grande do Sul.

According to Climatempo, it can rain at any time in Porto Alegre. In Santa Catarina and southwest Paraná, it rains in the afternoon. It is quite windy throughout the interior of the southern region, with gusts of up to 80 km/h.

Instabilities also persist on the east coast of the Northeast, with even greater rainfall expected for the east of Alagoas and Sergipe. Rain in these regions can come with moderate to heavy intensity accompanied by lightning and gusts of wind. In Fortaleza and Natal, isolated and fleeting rain.

São Luís (MA) and Teresina (PI) continue with firm weather and low relative humidity. It is very windy throughout the northeastern interior with gusts of 40 to 50 km/h.

Although temperatures remain low in the morning, it warms up again in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Campo Grande and Cuiabá. Relative humidity is below 30% in much of the Southeast and Midwest of the country.

It does not rain in the state of Tocantins, in south-central Rondônia and in most of Pará. In Amazonas, Roraima and Amapá, the rain starts in the afternoon and because of the heat, it can come with strong intensity and accompanied by thunderstorms.
