The polar air that settled with the last cold front that hit Brazil should start to move away from the country as of this Sunday (14). With that, the beginning of next week should start to see an increase in temperatures, according to Climatempo.
In the Southeast, the distancing of the cold air mass will be noticeable in much of the region. The mass’ action should be limited to the southern and eastern strips of the state of São Paulo, in addition to Rio de Janeiro.
Even with the forecast of polar air moving away, the most severe effects of this mass should be felt until tomorrow, with the concentration of intense cold in some areas of the country, such as the western and southern strips of Mato Grosso do Sul, the western parts of Santa Catarina and Paraná, and the extreme northern portion of Rio Grande do Sul.
Minimum temperatures are expected to fall between 5°C and 7°C below historical averages for July in these regions. In the areas between the coast of Rio de Janeiro and the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul, temperatures will fall between 3°C and 5°C in the coming days.
The drop in temperatures is expected to continue throughout the weekend, but this condition should last less time than initially predicted, as the trend is for July to end with above-average temperatures in much of the country.
