Coldplay at Glastonbury: see what the band’s show at the festival was like

Coldplay were the last and main act to take to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday night (29). Before them, names such as Cyndi Lauper, Disclosure, Camila Cabello and Jessie Ware also performed at the British festival.

The band’s show was marked by the usual pyrotechnics, with fireworks, LED bracelets and lots of shredded paper, in addition to a setlist full of hits. In the presentation, classics such as “Yellow”, “Fix You” and “A Sky Full of Stars” shared spaces with “feelslikeimfallinginlove”, the first single from the British group’s next album.

Actors Tom Cruise (“Mission: Impossible” and “Top Gun”) and Sean Pegg (“Mission: Impossible” and “Star Trek”) went to Worthy Farm to watch Coldplay perform, which was broadcast globally on the BBC website. Also there was actress Dakota Johnson (“Madame Web” and “Fifty Shades of Grey”), who is engaged to lead singer Chris Martin.

This Sunday (30), names like SZA, Janelle Monáe, Shania Twain, The National, Two Door Cinema Club and Avril Lavigne will perform there. No show this Sunday will be broadcast globally on the BBC.
