The band Coldplay broke a record by scoring ten performances from the same tour to take place at Wembley Stadium, England. Before recording the feat, the record belonged to Taylor Swift which held eight shows there in August this year.
In addition to the aforementioned artists, the pop group Take That, was also in the ranking, tied with Swift, for having performed eight performances in 2011. The previous record belonged to the musician michael jackson who performed seven times at the venue in 1988.
On social media, the stadium recognized the new record and celebrated: “A new Wembley record. Coldplay make history at Wembley by performing a record ten nights under the arch as part of the ‘Music Of The Spheres World Tour’. This could only happen here.”
Coldplay’s first performance at the venue took place on August 22 and two other shows have already been held. This Friday (27th), another performance will be taken to the British public and six other performances are already scheduled, the last of which is scheduled for September 8th.
When Taylor broke the record, the stadium honored the American with a personalized guitar.
