Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said today that evidence of the killing of civilians in the city of Bucha was just “the tip of the iceberg” and showed the need for tougher sanctions against Moscow.
Ukrainian authorities said Sunday they were investigating possible Russian war crimes after images from Bhutto showed the bodies of civilians lying on the ground, as well as makeshift graves.
“The atrocities we have seen in Bhutan are just the tip of the iceberg of the atrocities committed by the Russian military,” Kuleba told a joint news conference in Poland with British Foreign Secretary Liz Tras.
“Half-measures are not enough anymore. I demand more severe sanctions this week, this is the call of the victims of rape and executions. If you have doubts about the sanctions, go to Boutsa first,” said the head of Ukrainian diplomacy.
