Colin Farrell commented, in an interview with Entertainment Tonightabout the recent rise of Irish actors in Hollywood.
The Oscar-nominated actor said he is not surprised Ireland has such a wealth of talent and that it is “incredible”.
“Well, we punch well above our weight, you know? We are a country of just five million people and I don’t know, Irish people have a deep connection whether it’s with music, words, poetry, film or theater,” she said.
“I just think about the importance of history and drawing on stories and meanings with which we understand ourselves and the world around us,” he added.
In this year, Cillian Murphy became the first Irish actor to win an Oscar. He won for his role in “Oppenheimer” .
