Collapsed building in Pakistan – at least seven dead, there are trapped in debris

At least seven people were killed and eight were injured today by the collapse of a five -storey apartment building in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, with people remaining trapped under debris, according to authorities. About 100 people were staying in this building, a local police officer, Arif Aziz, told the French News Agency. The Edhi Foundation, Saad Edi, who is involved in rescue operations, told AFP that they may be under the ruins of “at least 8 or 10 people”, referring to a “damaged” building.
