One new book by the author Colleen Hoover has just get a movie adaptation . The work “Reminders of Him” (2022), which was named “A Second Chance” in Brazil, it will be led by the company Universal Pictures and is scheduled to premiere in February 2026. The information comes from the North American magazine Variety.

The feature film is described as “transformative” and talks about motherhood, forgiveness and the “power of love to heal even the most broken heart”. According to the official synopsis, the plot follows Kenna Rowan who returns to his hometown after serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake.

She hopes to reconnect with her young daughter, although everyone is determined to keep them apart. Only one person in the area hasn’t rejected her, and that’s the owner of the local bar Ledger Ward, who becomes an important part of Kenna’s life.

According to information from the vehicle, the book has sold 6.5 million around the world since its launch.

“I hear from many readers that they found something of themselves in her story of living with and through tragedy, as well as doing the often messy and imperfect work of healing and turning the page to a new chapter in life. I’m excited because ‘Reminders of Him’ also holds a special place in my heart,” said Colleen Hoover.

Other details about the film, such as the cast and official title, have not been released so far.

This will be Colleen’s 4th book to be adapted for cinema. The first was responsible for inspiring the production “É Assim que Acaba”, which premiered in July this year and featured actors Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the lead roles.

The author’s two other works with adaptation in progress are “If It Wasn’t Fosse Você”, released in 2019, and “Verity”, from 2018.
