Through social media, comedian Guilherme Santana exposed some school work, making jokes and ridiculing the works of the art class of some students from a private school in the west of São Paulo, which was his electoral college, in the second round of the elections municipalities, last Sunday (27).
In a statement, the school repudiated the actor’s conduct and said it would take the appropriate legal measures.
In the video, when showing the students’ work displayed in the school corridors, Guilherme says: “school, when we go to vote, they show the ugly drawings”. This was one of several criticisms made by the comedian about the teenagers’ work.
The comedian also showed some images that had the students’ faces, in this case exposing the image of minors on the internet.
After the negative repercussion on social media, the comedian spoke out through a video. As a way of portraying himself, he made some drawings aimed at students and parents.
“I make this video to show my regret. I am very sorry, what I did was not meant to take this proportion, it was not to ridicule anything, it was simply to make a joke.” Look:
Upon learning of the case, Colégio Notre Dame published a note repudiating the comedian’s actions. The institution defined the attitude as “arbitrary, irresponsible, offensive and embarrassing, by displaying on its social networks, with expressions of debauchery, images of work and minor students, without the consent of the school”.
“The Management regrets the episode on such an important day for citizenship and democracy, shares the families’ indignation and is already working, through legal means, to hold the comedian responsible for the act”, concludes the statement.
