Roraima Civil Police disarticulated a scheme of Falsification and sale of medical certificates in Boa Vista. The action resulted in the arrest in the act of a 32 -year -old college student, who was at the 44 -year -old boyfriend’s residence, a clinical analysis technician.
The suspect was arrested for involvement in a scheme that sold up to 50 falsified certificates per month, with values that varied according to the urgency and proximity of holidays and weekends.
Investigations began in December last year, when a businesswoman, when checking the authenticity of a certificate presented by an employee, found that the doctor’s signature was false.
From this complaint, the Civil Police began an investigation that led to the discovery of a large -scale criminal scheme. During the operation, police served a search and seizure warrant at the suspect’s residence, but the clinical analysis technician was not found, remaining at large.
At the scene, seven counterfeit medical stamps were seized, 50 certificates already filled with fraudulent signatures and about 200 blank documents ready to be used.
According to the delegate responsible for the operation DolonGuilherme Peres, the suspects charged, on average, R $ 60 for each fake medical certificate. Still according to him “The scheme caused damage to companies, the health system and compromised the credibility of the medical class, whose names and stamps were used without authorization.”
The university student arrested in the act confessed during the interrogation that he and her boyfriend had been acting in the scheme about four years ago. The Civil Police also investigate more than 50 people whose names were used in counterfeit documents.
