With an emphasis on representativeness, the comedy “ boil” hits Brazilian theaters this Thursday (19).
In the movie, Felipe Abib and Georgiana Goes play Leo and Marina, a couple who move into an abandoned house haunted by the ghosts of an old nightclub.
The film also marks the debut of the drag queen. Rita von Hunty in theaters, playing one of the ghosts.
Literature teacher and columnist, Rita is known for producing videos on social media focusing on diversity and politics and has more than 1 million followers on Instagram.
In an interview with CNN she defined that acting in the feature it was a gift”. “We had a super welcoming crew and set,” she added.
The cast also includes Joana Fomm, Julia Lemmertz , Suely Franco and Paulo Vieira .
“I boil transits” through moments of comedy and suspense and, according to the director Felipe Joffily the aim was not necessarily to mix film genres.
“This movie remains a comedy because it has a happy ending, and it has comic events, tragic events,” he revealed.
“This dynamic of the film brings this value of originality, but it came naturally”.

For Georgiana Goes, boil “ultimately talks about love, the need for us to explore our feelings, the need for us to accept the other”.
The actress also points out that national productions are established as “resistance of Brazilian cinema”.
Rita von Hunty agrees with her co-star, saying that it is “a very Brazilian story, and of a Brazil in which we dream, where difference can be sustained, and where difference is enriching”.
