Tomorrow, 8 October 2021, is Coming Out Day, the day in which the importance of coming out is celebrated that is, the decision to openly declare one’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
Ma coming out and coming out isn’t always easy. For some it may be easy, for others it may be a difficult and unpleasant experience to remember.
Here are @murielxo’s tips to take this big step and start living in freedom 🌈❤️:
1- First of all there is no right or wrong way to do it, and especially if you don’t feel the need, know that it is not mandatory.
2- The first person to tell should be someone you trust blindly and who would never judge you.
3- Take your time and say when you feel really safe, especially with people who scare you a little.
4- Think about your safety, telling people you already know are extremely homophobic / transphobic could put you in unpleasant situations.
Feel free * to do what you want and in your own time, coming out or not coming out ❤️
