Commission to speak with UN, IOM, Belarus on repatriation of migrants

Commission President Ursula von der Leyen continues to hold talks with Member States on the crisis at the EU-Belarus border, Commissioner Eric Mammer tweeted, stressing that Minsk “should allow He noted that the European Commission will hold technical talks with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Organization for Migration and Belarus on repatriation. More specifically, Eric Mammer stated:

“Commission President Ursula von der Leyen continues contacts with Member States on the crisis at the EU-Belarus border.

Belarus must grant access to humanitarian aid and provide shelter to migrants in the country.

“The European Commission will hold technical talks with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Organization for Migration and Belarus on repatriation.”
