The average price of diesel oil in Brazil reached R$ 6.94, the highest value recorded in the historical series of the price survey by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
Fuel, commonly used in trucks and buses, recorded an increase of R$ 0.10 this week, which represents an increase of 1.4% compared to the previous week.
The maximum price of diesel was verified at R$8.30, in the municipality of Cruzeiro do Sul, in the state of Acre. The minimum price was BRL 5.49 in Cornélio Procópio, Paraná.
The S10 diesel, used in medium and large vehicles with more recent engines, reached R$ 7.07, a record value for the average price of a liter. The maximum price charged was R$ 8.40, in the city of Porto Seguro, Bahia.
Last week, Petrobras announced a readjustment of 8.9% in the price of the company’s diesel for distributors, and the reflexes can already be observed by consumers this week, at the pumps of gas stations.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the cooking gas, recorded the fourth consecutive drop in average price. The 13kg cylinder was verified at R$ 112.89 this week, compared to R$ 112.93 last week.
These are the first significant drops in the price of fuel after Petrobras reduced, more than a month ago, by 5.6% the value of the cylinder for distributors.
Ordinary gasoline, which came from highs in a row, recorded a decline of two cents in the average price of a liter of fuel, and was R$ 7.27 this week. In the last survey, the fuel was found at R$ 7.29.
Ethanol, on the other hand, fell for the third consecutive week and the average price per liter was R$ 5.22. The value represents a decrease of R$ 0.10 cents in comparison with the value of the last bulletin.
