The Chinese automaker Great Wall has patented in Russia a luxury frame SUV Tank 800, the first schematic images of which have been published in the open database of Rospatent.
It is worth noting that the Great Wall Tank 800 has not yet gone on sale in China, but the fact of patent registration confirms plans to release the car in our country. According to Motor.ru, the car may debut this year.
Great Wall Tank 800 will receive a body length of more than 5 m and a longitudinal engine. Last year’s concept car, shown at the Beijing Auto Show, received a spectacular four-seat interior and rich equipment. It is possible that the car can compete with the new Lexus LX and Cadillac Escalade.
For the concept, a power plant was announced based on a gasoline 3-liter V6 with two turbines. In the basic version, the unit has a power of 354 hp. at 500 Nm of torque, but a more powerful hybrid with an electric motor and an “automatic” is in development.
Last year, Great Wall patented the Tank 300 SUV in Russia, the production of which was planned to be launched at the company’s plant in the Tula region.
