The Municipality of Conceição do Mato Dentro (MG) informed, this Saturday (28), that it canceled the participation of the singer Gusttavo Lima and the country duo Bruno and Marrone in the 30th Cavalcade of the Jubilee of Senhor Bom Jesus de Matosinhos.
In the statement, published on a social network, the city government alleges that there is an attempt to involve the event “in a political and partisan war that has no connection with the municipality nor with the traditional party”.
On Friday (27), the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MP-MG) established a procedure to verify if there are elements for an investigation into the expenses of the event. The country singer Gusttavo Lima had been hired for BRL 1.2 million, while the duo Bruno and Marrone was hired for BRL 520,000.
Israel and Rodolffo will be at the event for BRL 310,000, Di Paulo and Paulino for BRL 120,000, João Carreiro for BRL 100,000 and Thiago and Jonathan for BRL 90,000.
The shows take place between the 17th and 23rd of June on the stage set up in the municipal airport area.
According to the city hall, together with the Jubilee and Cavalcade, the municipality receives more than 80 thousand tourists annually, with an average of 10 thousand tourists per day. The expected audience for the shows is 20,000 tourists.
