Concerns expresses the Red Cross about developments in the Gaza Strip

All sides have today called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (DES) to “make more” to ensure that the exchanges of hostage and Palestinian prisoners provided in the context of the truce between Israel and Hamas will be conducted with “dignity and discretion”. “The ICCs still record concerns about the way the Israeli hostage liberation operations unfold in Gaza, and the Palestinian prisoners in Israel,” a humanitarian statement said. “Despite repeated calls, transportation with dignity and discretion, all sides, including mediators, must do more in order to improve future transport,” adds to the text. Three Israeli hostages were released today in the Gaza Strip for 369 prisoners in Israeli prisons, completing the sixth such exchange with Palestinian prisoners since the start of the truce, found at the collapse threshold this week.
