One of the films Oscar 2025 favorites the drama “Conclave ” got an air date in Brazil. According to Diamond Films, which distributes the feature film, the production reaches Brazilian theaters in January 23 .
Furthermore, the production received another preview this Thursday (10). Adaptation of the novel by Robert Harris “Conclave” follows Cardinal Lawrence, played by Ralph Fiennes (known as “The English Patient”), who is given the responsibility of overseeing the election of a new Pope following the sudden death of the Church leader.
The story exposes a fierce power struggle between important figures in the Catholic Church, while the protagonist is faced with secrets and conspiracies throughout this confidential process.
In addition to Fiennes, the cast includes Stanley Tucci (“The Devil Wears Prada”), John Lithgow (“The Crown”) and Isabella Rossellini (“Blue Velvet”).
“Conclave” was also selected as the closing film of the Rio 2024 Festival.
