Conclave: Who is the cardinal who uses white in the Pope’s election?

One of the cardinals in the Sistine Chapel caught the eye on Wednesday (7) for wearing white robes, differing from most clerics, who wore the well-known red and white beats.

The cardinal is Timothy Radcliffe. He was proclaimed Cardinal by Pope Francis on December 7, 2024 – that is, months before his death.

The Vatican Specialist at CNN, Raylson Araújo explains that Radcliffe requested exemption from dressing like a cardinal, which was granted by Francis.

Anyway, he still has the right to vote for the conclave.
