“Concord”: PlayStation pulls game after launch failure

THE PlayStation has pulled the game “Concord” just two weeks after its release on August 23.

On Thursday (5), Ryan Ellis, director of Firewalk Studios, responsible for the game, published a note in which he thanked the game’s fans, but said that it would be taken down after a launch that seems to have disappointed the company in terms of numbers.

“While many aspects of the experience resonated with players, we also recognize that other aspects of the game and the initial launch did not go as planned. Therefore, for now, we have decided to take the game offline as of September 6, 2024 and explore our options, including those that will best reach our players,” the post reads.

“We’ve been listening closely to your feedback since the game launched on PlayStation 5 and PC, and we want to thank everyone who joined us on our journey aboard the North Star. Your support and the dedicated community that has formed around the game means a lot to us,” he added.

Sales of “Concord” have been suspended immediately, and players who purchased the game for both PS5 and PC will receive a full refund.

“Once players receive their refund, they will no longer have access to the game. We will keep you updated and thank you once again to all the Freegunners who have joined us in the Concord galaxy,” the statement explained.
