Confident of his victory in the elections, Erdogan said: I have no doubts about the color of the ballot box

The president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, appeared confident about the result of the May 14 election, speaking at the opening ceremony of the first phase of the gigantic Istanbul Financial Center.

Cutting the ribbon on what is being presented as the “pride” of Istanbul and Turkey due to planning and amenities, based on the development model of a “smart city”, as reported by Anadolu Agency, Erdogan appeared confident of the result of the ballot box, “praising ” and his experience, as he referred to himself as a politician who knows how to “read” the “squares” for 40 years.

Regarding the elections and against the opinion polls, which speak of a derby between him and Kilicdaroglu, leaving wide open the prospect of repeat elections, Erdogan said:

“We will go to the polls in 27 days and make a very crucial decision for our future, our children’s and Turkey’s future. We will make an important choice not only between candidates, political parties and coalitions, but also between two different perceptions. We are the choice of our nation. We believe that he will support the policy of work, services and investment, as he has done for the last 21 years. The journey of economic development of our country, which continues with patience and persistence for the last 21 years will not be interrupted.

Our people, especially those who knew Turkey before 2002, will not allow to return the democratic and economic benefits they won by paying the price when necessary. I hope that on the 14th of May the national will will manifest once again and our beloved nation will start the century of Turkey saying bismillah (pbuh in the name of Allah). As a politician who measures the pulse of the square and reads the language of the square for 40 years of his life, I have not the slightest doubt about the color of the ballot box.”
