Civil police officers have been in front of a building in the Pampulha region of Belo Horizonte (MG) for more than 12 hours, where delegate Monah Zein lives, who currently works at the East Regional Civil Police Station.
According to preliminary information released by the corporation, on Tuesday morning (21) agents went to the apartment and the deputy allegedly fired shots to keep her colleagues away. According to police, the shots were fired inside the residence and there were no injuries.
Until the beginning of the night, the police, with the help of the Biopsychosocial Support Center, General Internal Affairs, Fire Department and Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) negotiated for the deputy to leave the apartment.
Throughout the day, Monah Zein made several live broadcasts on her social networks, with her gun in hand showing excerpts of her negotiation. According to her, the institution itself had humiliated her and that is why she would not return to work. And despite the police treating her as potentially suicidal, she was just wanting to stay in her home, without taking any risks.
CNN spoke to one of the employees at the building where the delegate lives. The professional, who did not want to be identified, says that the delegate is a calm person who gets along well.
Zein’s defense lawyer, Leandro Martins, stated that “the delicate state of health that the employee is currently in is due to persecution and retaliation within the scope of the Civil Police, an institution which has been making its employees ill without providing any type of assistance. assistance. PCMG employees suffer full-time moral harassment, especially women who are part of the institution’s staff. And the delegate’s health status is this way due to the lack of structure in the care sector and in the Civil Police hospital itself.”
Regarding the accusations made by the delegate, CNN contacted the Civil Police of Minas Gerais and is awaiting a response.
