ConsenSys launches VillageDAO with LivePerson

ConsenSys, the developer of the MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet, is launching VillageDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization focused on customer support.

ConsenSys and LivePerson, an artificial intelligence company, concluded partnership to create VillageDAO decentralized platform. The service is designed to cover the need for customers to contact support when they have any problem. This feature is widely present in Web2 services, but it is difficult to do so in Web3 sites.

Cryptocurrency exchanges have their own dedicated customer service departments, however, many decentralized wallets and NFT projects do not. Therefore, if a user encounters problems when transferring cryptocurrencies or selling NFTs, he is forced to turn to social networks for help. VillageDAO is designed to solve this problem.

According to Dror Avieli, ConsenSys vice president of customer service, the idea behind VillageDAO is to create a decentralized group of experts that can offer help to the growing number of Web3 users. DAO is a reliable way to bring different brands and companies together without competing with each other, Avieli says.

VillageDAO will offer various rewards to its experts to encourage them to actively participate in the project and explore its products. The first product will be dedicated to MetaMask. According to Avieli, in early 2021, the company saw a “crazy” increase in the number of active users of the wallet, and with it, requests for technical support.

A launch date has yet to be set, but Avieli said ConsenSys executives hope their idea will be of interest to other companies that will also start working in this direction or join VillageDAO. Recall that earlier ConsenSys announced the successful completion of an investment round for $450 million, which raised the company’s market value to $7 billion.
