This morning, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had telephone conversations with Ambassador Francesco Costellenos, who has been sent to Mariupol to strengthen the operation of the Greek Consulate General there and the Consul General in Odessa, Dimitris Dohtsis.
Government sources say that the Prime Minister thanked them for the services they offer in very difficult conditions, in order to provide all possible assistance to Greek citizens and expatriates in Ukraine. It is noted that in Mariupol the Greek Consulate General is the only one that will remain open.
The Greek consular authorities in the two cities, in daily close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, continue to provide their assistance to Greek nationals, expatriates and journalists in the area.
