THE Giuseppe Conte was re-elected as the president of the Five Star Movement, as he prevailed with a percentage of 94%, in the online voting which took place with the participation of 59,000 members.
“With the new election of Giuseppe Conte as president of our movement, we have made an important step forward,” said the Italian Foreign Minister. Luigi Di Maiochief executive of the Five Stars.
According to APE, the online voting of the Five Star Movement became necessary after a decision of the court of Naplesaccording to which the initial election of the former Italian Prime Minister in the leadership of the Five Stars could not be considered valid. The reason is that the members who had registered in the last six months before this whole online process were not allowed to vote.
