Continued subsidy requests had a drop of 112,000 in the week ended February 12, to 1,476,000, less than the 1.58 million expected. is the lowest reading since March 1970.
The dollar was not affected by the data, nor by the GDP growth report for the fourth quarter that was released at the same time.
New home sales data and the Kansas Fed index will be released later Thursday. They are not expected to have an impact on the market considering that the focus is on news related to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
