Contractor destroys a bathroom he had remodeled because he was not paid for his work

When people do a job, they do it expecting to receive payment for their services, unfortunately not all those who hire are clear that they must pay once the job is completed. In Colorado Springs, United States, something like this happened.

A family turned to a contractor to do some modifications to the bathroom in their house and he gladly did it, but they refused to pay him and for that little reason, he returned to ruthlessly destroy everything.

They hired him and the owner “didn’t like the job”

According to information from the KRDO media, Amber Trucke, owner of the house, had given an advance of three thousand dollars for the remodeling of one of the bathrooms in her house and promised to give the rest once the work was completely finished.

However, once the contractor was done and she reviewed the work, she said she was not satisfied with the result and refused to pay for it.

He came back to destroy the whole bathroom

The woman thought that as the days went by they could both reach an agreement that would benefit both parties, but Terry James and Jordan Cazares, who were in charge of the work, said they would not accept any deal, only payment for their work, so they came with sledgehammers and saws to destroy the remodels.

Amber recorded with her cell phone how they destroyed her bathroom. Meanwhile, one of them shouted:

I worked weeks on this. Spend thousands of dollars. Now who is going to pay me?

The woman asked him to stop repeatedly, but it was impossible. Then the worker ended up saying:

It is my property. This is my property. I bought everything.

Amber was scared

The brutality with which they destroyed everything left her in shock, because he feared for his safety.

It makes me sick, it scares me. This is more than trashing my bathroom.

Contractors have a different version of Amber’s story

Destroyed bathroom

Jordan, one of the contractors, explained to the Daily mail that they were never told that the work had not been to the liking of the owners of the house and if it had been, they would have left everything as it was.

It has never happened before and it is not something that is usual. There were other projects included in the contract that she was not willing to pay for.

The workers also explained that they even received threats when the woman posted the video on the Internet. On the other hand, Amber said that from now on she would be very careful when hiring someone. In short, only the justice can determine the situation, because both parties have already requested help from the court.
