Control authors announced a multiplayer spin-off in the game’s universe

Today, June 29, the developers from the studio Remedy Entertainment, who gave the world Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break and, of course, Control, officially announced their new multiplayer project, codenamed Condor. The developers even announced that this is a cooperative shooter for a team of four with PvE elements, which they promise to fit into the Control franchise, because according to the plot, Conrod is a spin-off to the studio’s recent release. And the shooter will be created on the Northlight engine – it is also used in Control and is Remedy’s own development.

Unfortunately, the developers have not yet revealed any information about the storyline, gameplay mechanics, opponents or characters of Condor. The release date, price and other details are also not reported, but the publisher in the person of 505 Games said that 25 million euros were allocated for the development of the shooter – a very impressive amount even by modern standards.

The release of the multiplayer shooter Condor will take place on PC (platforms have not yet been specified, but it will probably launch on the Epic Games Store first), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. The developers confidently abandoned the previous generation of consoles, although the same Control on the same engine was released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
