Cooler Master Launches Three 1300W Power Supply Models

Cooler Master introduced three models of 1300W power supplies. All are 80 Plus Platinum certified and have fully modular cabling systems. Interestingly, none of the new models are ATX-compliant in terms of size. Two of them are made in the SFX form factor, and the third one of the sizes, on the contrary, exceeds the ATX specifications.

This latest V1300 Platinum 30th Anniversary measures 190 x 150 x 86mm. This is the only 1300W PSU that works when connected to a 110V outlet. It uses a 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan. The unit has a switch for operation with one or two 12 V buses and can deliver 54 A on each of them. It is covered by a 10 year warranty.

The V1300 SFX-L Platinum, which is also available in a 1100 W version, operates only with an input voltage of 220-240 V. The dimensions of this PSU, equal to 125 x 125 x 63.5 mm, correspond to the SFX-L form factor. The unit has a 120mm fan, also with a hydrodynamic bearing. An interesting feature of the PSU is the presence of a connector for a 12VHPWR cable, which will be needed to power the next generation video cards. Here, the 12 V bus delivers at least 108.3 A.

The latest new power supply is the V1300 SFX Platinum, which measures just 100 x 125 x 63.5mm. It will probably be a bit noisier than its larger relatives under full load since it is equipped with a 92mm fan. The fan uses a hydrodynamic bearing. Otherwise, the characteristics of the V1300 SFX Platinum are identical to those of the SFX-L version described in the previous paragraph.

Information on prices and terms of the start of sales is not yet available.
