The close cooperation of the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency with the Italian news agency ANSA is inaugurated by the signing of a bilateral agreement by their two leaders, Emilio Perdikari and Stefano de Alessandri. The agreement was signed today in Sarajevo, on the sidelines of the Spring Conference and the Extraordinary General Assembly of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) and in the first phase provides for the exchange of news between RES-EIA and ANSA on a daily basis. In the future, its expansion is planned at various levels (eg provision of know-how, participation in European projects), while at the same time it reflects the traditionally excellent relations between Greece and Italy and the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
“We have repeatedly stressed that the goal of APE-MPE is to grow and its transition to the new, digital age requires extroversion and enhanced cooperation with other news agencies. The agreement with ANSA has these characteristics, as the Italian news agency is “one of the largest in Europe, as a result of which the content and the credibility of APE-MPE are upgraded and at the same time its imprint abroad”, said after the signing of the agreement the president and general manager of APE-MPE, Emilios Perdikaris.
At the same time, he added that “in the next period, similar collaborations will follow with other European news agencies, which will not be limited only to the field of news content exchange. They will extend to those of know-how, technology or even continuing training. and training of employees, since we want, in addition to the digital transformation, to invest in the human resources and the intellectual capital of APE-MPE “.
For his part, de Alessandri said that “the agreement between ANSA and APE-MPE and the guarantee of the mutual availability of valid and cross-referenced information from Greece and Italy is a first step for the joint design and development of projects “The aim is to support and strengthen the communication between Greek and Italian institutions, institutions, but also companies.”
The ambassadors of Greece and Italy to Rome and Athens, Eleni Sourani and Patricia Falcinelli, were present online at the signing ceremony. “The agreement on the mutual exchange of news signed today between APE-MPE and ANSA marks the beginning of a new bilateral cooperation of great importance, which is not limited only in the field of information and news. It gives the opportunity to our two peoples, who have known each other very well for millennia, to follow the daily life both in the economic and in the social and cultural field and this will allow greater synergies that will be for the benefit of both countries but, above all, for the benefit of “Our common European vision”, stressed Ms. Sourani, pointing out that together with her Italian colleague they will help with all their might for the further deepening of the cooperation between APE-MPE and ANSA.
In turn, Ms. Falcinelli underlined that “the agreement signed today between the main news agency of Italy ANSA and the APE-MPE is a fundamental step in strengthening the bilateral relations of our countries, for which we are working intensively, in Through the mutual exchange of news, the agreement not only strengthens bilateral cooperation in the field of information, but allows the Italian and Greek public to further deepen their knowledge of the respective political, economic and cultural realities, thus bringing more close two already friends, allied and neighboring countries “.
Ms. Falcinelli concluded: “We are firmly committed to developing joint trade initiatives for the public and private companies of our countries that are interested in promoting their presence in the respective markets. This is a commitment that further expands the economic and our trade cooperation, which increased by more than € 9 billion in 2021. This initiative is even more relevant in the light of the opportunities that the National Recovery and Sustainability Plans – and their potential synergies – can offer to Italian and Greek economic agents “.
