COP26, Bolsonaro’s return to Brazil and more from the evening of November 2nd

Two major pacts on the environment closed during COP26, the return of Jair Bolsonaro to Brazil after the G20 summit and the government’s confidence in the articulation to get the necessary votes for the approval of the PEC dos Precatório are some of the highlights of this evening. On the second day of the United Nations Climate Conference, taking place in Scotland, two major pacts in favor of the environment were closed. Brazil is part of both. One is to reduce methane gas emissions by 30% by 2030. And the other, called the Global Forest Financing Commitment, comes with the promise of world leaders to end deforestation.

Bolsonaro returns to Brazil

President Jair Bolsonaro left Europe today, where he attended the G20 summit in Rome. The last appointment on Tuesday was a tribute to Brazilian soldiers killed in World War II, in the city of Pistoia, Italy.

PEC of Precatório

The government is confident with the articulation it has made in recent days to obtain the 308 votes necessary for the approval of the PEC dos Precatório. Voting in the Chamber is scheduled for this Wednesday (3). The question is whether there will be a sufficient quorum of deputies after a long holiday.

The Superior Labor Court will require proof of vaccination for employees to enter the court from this Wednesday (3). The measure goes against what the government proposes. The Ministry of Labor published on Monday (1) an ordinance that prohibits companies from requiring proof of employees.

Relaxation of measures against Covid-19

At least 21 capitals and the Federal District eased the measures against Covid-19. There are no more public and time limits for commerce and services. Rio de Janeiro and the Federal District only charge the use of masks indoors. In São Paulo, you must use protection anywhere.
