COP26: Johnson calls for “strong impetus” to work for agreement

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson invited participants to UN Conference for the Climate COP26 to give “strong impetus” to the effort reaching an agreement which allows the reduction of global warming.

“If we want to achieve that, we need a strong impetus to cross the finish line,” he said, returning to Glasgow, Scotland, where the COP26 conference is being held. “We only have a few days left, and there is still a lot to do.”

“My question to my fellow world leaders this afternoon, as we reach the final hours of the COP, is this: Will you help us do it? will you help us seize this opportunity or will you hinder us?“, He stated in this regard, according to the ΑΠΕ ΜΠΕ.

“It is very disappointing to see countries that have spent six years ostentatiously congratulating each other on the Paris signing slowly approaching failure,” he said in a statement.
