Microsoft announced new artificial intelligence-based products and features during the event Microsoft Ignite 2024 which takes place this week. The main highlight among the announcements were the news related to the Copilot, the AI assistant of the brand.
According to Microsoft, the use of the AI assistant has grown in the corporate environment and around 70% of companies listed in the Fortune 500 ranking reported using Microsoft 365 Copilot in their operations.

- Copilot Actions : tool that allows you to automate routine tasks, such as preparing a summary of an online meeting or producing weekly reports compiling information.
- Agents in SharePoint: AI assistants that draw on the contents of SharePoint folders and files to help find answers from that content. You can also create custom agents to answer queries about the contents of specific folders.
- Interpreter: tool that performs simultaneous voice translation during Teams meetings where participants speak different languages.
- Self-service agent for employees: AI will also help company employees with simple answers to the most common questions related to internal company policies, human resources or IT.
The new features are expected to be made available to select users from now until early 2025.
