Coronavirus: 454 intubated, 65 deaths – At 15,829 cases

The number of cases recorded in the country in the last 24 hours reached 15,829, according to the announcement of the National Public Health Organization, with the deaths reaching 65 and the number of intubated to 454.

More specifically, EODY states:

“The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 15,829, of which 33 were identified after checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 2,369,396 (daily change + 0.7%), of which 49.6% of men.1 Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 286 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,163 are related to an already known case.Daily evolution of the pandemic: represents the total, cumulative distribution of cases).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 65, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 25,603 deaths have been recorded. 95.0% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 454 (65.0% men). Their median age is 67 years. 87.4% have an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 330 (72.69%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 124 (27.31%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,241 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 333 (daily change -10.48%). The average seven-day admission is 347 patients. The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of death is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
