Coronavirus admissions to Italian hospitals have fallen

In the last 30 days, in Italy the admissions to the hospitals of the country due coronavirus decreased by 49.1%. In terms of intensive care units, the reduction reached 45.1%. These are data presented today by the Italian research institute Gimbe, which monitors the strategy for the treatment of coronavirus in Italy.

In terms of vaccinations, anti-coronary drugs have not yet been administered to 25% of citizens aged 70 to 79, while the relative figure reaches 50% for those in the age range of 60 to 69 years.

According to the Gimbe Foundation, there is a need to change the practice so far: citizens who have not made an appointment for vaccination should be urged by the health authorities, with “targeted” phone calls, to decide to get the vaccine against covid 19.

In the last week, at the same time, coronavirus deaths in the country decreased by 15%, admissions to ICUs by 15.1% and admissions to hospital wards by 17.8%. It is clear, that is, that the pressure on hospitals has begun to decrease significantly.

Finally, according to the Italian press, from next Monday a further “relaxation” of prevention and protection measures is expected: all regions are expected to turn yellow (with open cafes, restaurants and hotels) with the possible exception of the small northwestern region of Valle. Ντ΄Αόστα.
