Coronavirus: Cases on the rise worldwide – More than 500,000 on Tuesday and Wednesday

The news cases of coronavirus, which started growing again at the end of June worldwide, exceeded on Tuesday and Wednesday the 500.000 on a daily basis, numbers that had not been recorded since May 28, according to a count of the French Agency (AFP) based on the official accounts of the countries, which is relayed by the RES EIA.

The last seven days are recorded daily, on average, 474.100 new cases, increase 17% compared to the previous week.

This resurgence of the pandemic is mainly explained by its rapid spread Delta variant, which was first located in India and by July 13 had been located in 111 countries and territories, according to the World Health Organization.

Infections are increasing in Europe, with 115.390 cases daily, on average (+ 36% compared to the previous week).

Revival is also observed on USA, with 25,340 new cases on a daily basis, on average, in the last seven days (+ 72% compared to the previous week). However, this number is much lower than the 258,000 cases recorded daily at the peak of the pandemic in early January.

In Asia Almost a third of new cases are reported worldwide (145,840 daily, averaging + 28%), most of them in India (approximately 44,630 daily, + 15%), and Indonesia (41,520, + 45%) .

THE Brazil is the second country, behind India, in a number of cases, with 42,960 daily, on average, although the pandemic seems to be declining (-15% compared to the previous week) as in the whole Latin America and Caribbean.
