THE Czech republic recorded on Thursday, 27,717 new cases of coronavirus, the largest number recorded by this country of 10.7 million inhabitants since the pandemic began, according to data from the Ministry of Health announced today Friday (26/11).
The data show that the epidemic is intensifying, as 131,731 cases were recorded in the last seven days, compared to the 73,200 cases that were recorded throughout the month of October.

In the meantime the Czech government declares on Thursday (25/11) state of emergency for a period of 30 days, with the closure of Christmas markets and nightclubs, in a bid to stem the Covid-19 pandemic. The government ordered bars and clubs to close at 10 p.m. and banned the operation of Christmas markets.
Restrictions from Monday already bar non-vaccinated Czechs and those who have not recently recovered from the disease from entering restaurants, cafes and sports venues.
