Coronavirus deaths in Latin America and the Caribbean exceed 1 million

More than 1 million people have died from Covid-19 in Latin America and the Caribbean since the pandemic began. according to Reuters and AFP reports, with the health situation deteriorating in this part of the world with the highest per capita death rate.
