Coronavirus: Germans abandon efforts to make vaccination of citizens over 18 mandatory

As everything shows, the Germans are abandoning the prospect of importing compulsory vaccinationfor citizens over the age of 18, due to lack of chances to be voted in favor by the Federal Parliament, according to German media.

The most prevalent plan concerning Germany now provides for a vaccination requirement for persons over 50 years of age.

According to the plan of many MPs of the ruling coalition parties (SPD, Greens, FDP) and as broadcast by the Athens News Agency, the obligation at this stage should be limited to those over 50 years, while citizens from 18 to 49 years will undergo a mandatory counseling session on vaccination.

According to the same plan, in early September, a new attempt at general vaccination could possibly be made from the age of 18.
