Coronavirus, go away! Apple opens all of its stores in the US for the first time in the past year

Apple has reopened all of its stores in the United States, Reuters reported. Over the past year, many have been closed amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the announcement, the pages of each of the 271 US stores indicate that you can’t just walk into a store to shop. All of them will allow customers to pick up online orders and receive technical support, and some also allow users to consult with an Apple specialist if they want to buy a new device.

On March 14, 2020, Apple announced that it would close all of its retail stores outside of China. In the months that followed, some stores were reopened in certain parts of the world, and some eventually closed again.

In addition to store closings, many companies have begun allowing employees to work from home and have switched to virtual events that continue this year. Companies like Google and Microsoft have expanded their work-from-home practice for a few more months in 2021, and Apple CEO Tim Cook suggested that some of the changes could become permanent in the future.
