Coronavirus – India: 278 deaths, over 18,800 cases in the last 24 hours

THE India announced today Wednesday that the previous 24 hours have been confirmed 18,833 cases of SARS-CoV-2 and 278 patients with COVID-19 died.

With 449,538 deaths out of a total of 33.87 million infections from the outbreak of the new coronavirus pandemic in its territory, the subcontinent of 1.3 billion inhabitants records the third heaviest account victims in the world in absolute sizes, behind them USA and Brazil, and the second highest number of infections, behind the US, according to official data, as transmitted by AMPE.

Iran: 216 deaths and more than 13,000 cases in 24 hours

Faced with the outbreak of the pandemic and Iran which announced yesterday Tuesday that 216 patients with COVID-19 succumbed in the previous 24 hours while 13,226 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were still confirmed.

The pandemic of the new coronavirus in the Islamic Republic has reached 121,563 dead from its outbreak in Iran in February 2020 out of a total of 5,651,961 infections.

5,665 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in intensive care units (ICUs) of Iranian hospitals.

In the country of approximately 83 million inhabitants, more than 42.4 million people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 17.2 million have received the second, according to official data.
