THE Italy announced on Wednesday (18/8) 69 deaths associated with coronavirus, compared to 54 on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health, while the new cases recorded in the last twenty-four hours reached 7.162 compared to 5,273 yesterday.
According to APE BPE, Italy has recorded 128.579 deaths since the pandemic began in February 2020, a number that ranks it second in countries in terms of the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Europe after Britain and eighth in the world. Overall in the country have been recorded 4.460.000 millions of cases.
Patients treated with coronavirus, excluding those in intensive care units, arrived today 3.559 compared to 3,472 yesterday.
Intensive care units were introduced today 50 patients versus 49 admitted yesterday. The total number of patients with Covid-19 in the ICU has reached them 442 from the 423 that were yesterday, always, in accordance with the APE BPE.
It is noted, finally, that they were made yesterday 226,423 tests, compared to 238,073 the day before.
