Coronavirus – Italy: Christmas carol turns into vaccination call

Increasingly Italians scientists refer to the need to take new measures to address it Omicron mutation of coronavirus, according to the ΑΠΕ ΜΠΕ.

In his statements to the Italian press, the microbiologist Andrea Crisandi argued that the mandatory use of the Ffp2 mask should be decided on all means of public transport (which are often crowded), in theaters and cinemas. “This mask prevents the transmission of the virus in 98% of cases,” he explained.

At the same time, from Milan, the Massive Gallium – for a number of years responsible for the infectious diseases of Sako Hospital – proposes the extension of the school holidays for a few days after the end of the holidays. He believes that this move could reduce the movement of citizens and, consequently, the transmission of the virus.

A Christmas carol turns into a call for vaccination

At the same time, three well-known Italian doctors, the Fabrizio Preliasco, Mateo Bassetti and Andrea Crisandi, who were thrown from the first moment in the fight against coronavirus, wanted to raise public awareness in an original way: they decided to take advantage of the holiday atmosphere to motivate those residents of the country who have not yet been vaccinated.

On a Rai radio show, they sang a variation of the well-known “Jingle Bells”, with key lyrics: “Yes, yes, yes, yes to the vaccine, Covid-19 will lose the battle if you help us too».

Their move was a success, with a record number of clicks on the internet, but there was also a minority of critics, who consider it an initiative in an extremely “light” tone.
