Case record coronavirus continues to record the Portugal, with 26,867 new infections in the last 24 hours, from 17,172 yesterday, however at the same time the number of deaths from Covid-19 has dropped to very low levels, compared to the beginning of 2021.
The DGS health service recorded only 12 deaths today (from 19 yesterday) while the number of patients admitted to intensive care units remains constant, at 151, transmits the APE-MPE.
At the end of January, the number of deaths exceeded 300 daily and more than 900 patients were treated in intensive care units.
